International Symposium in Geneva, Switzerland

On May 27, 2017, in Geneva, at the Kempinski Hotel, an international symposium was held, dedicated to the issues of extending human active life, the hidden resources of the body, and their activation with the help of medications, functional products, and dietary supplements based on peptide bioregulators with a scientifically proven base and numerous preclinical and clinical trials.

The symposium was attended by leading scientists in this field from around the world, representatives of top universities and research institutes, and business representatives from the world’s largest companies working in this area.

More than 20 speakers presented their scientific and research works, which were keenly listened to by the symposium participants. Active discussions and debates continued even during breaks.

The symposium was opened by Mr. J. Beard (Switzerland) – Director of the Department of Ageing and Life Course at the World Health Organization (WHO), who presented a report on the rapid aging of the world’s population, the WHO’s functional approach to aging and health issues, and the importance of research in this area.

A very interesting report was presented by Mr. G. Roth, president of GeroScience Inc. (USA), on the potential benefits of caloric restriction and mimetics for humans.

Mr. J. Beard (WHO) and a representative of Ideal Pharma Peptide GmbH (Germany), Dr. Med. R. Roitman, continued the discussion with the speaker on the topic of nutrition after his presentation.

On some issues, Mr. G. Roth and Dr. Med. R. Roitman found common themes for further discussion and collaboration.
